PORTRAITS

I call these “portraits” but in truth, none of them is inspired by a specific person.

They are usually born from a doodle drawn out of boredom or whilst on the phone, and as a result, the great majority of them don’t end up ever being completed.

Sometimes I will find a sketch that I began drawing years before and will end up finishing it that very day.

Most of them begin as a face and who they are going to be is not entirely clear until the very end.

I like that, they are spontaneous.

They are a personal collection of sorts.
